• Gunna even makes mediocre ideas look and feel like Cannes Award Winners. He’s the only bloke worth using if you aspire to world class quality

  • Have you seen Gunna's letters in The Herald? No? Nobody has, they never get in. Lucky, he is the best storyboard artist in town. Maybe that ability stems from his lack of writing ability. Like a blind guy that has really good hearing... kind of.

  • For some reason, concepts I present that have been brought to life by Gunna get approved more often than those done by other people. It might be because he good, or it might be because I give him my best stuff. You go figure.

  • Paul is one of the best visualizers around town. Im not. Seems to me its the perfect match. Its hard enough coming up with ideas let alone having to draw them. Paul can make even mediocre concepts look good. That’s something else I cant do.

  • Well I was thinking something along the lines of “If you want experience, Gunna’s your man. He’s done more frames than Michael’s done ████████ at Neverland.”

  • Paul’s top bloke for a whinging Aussie. You can call him up and brief him on your storyboard/visuals and he’s on the case immediately (assuming some other lucky client hasn’t nabbed him first!)

He’s thorough, queries anything he’s not completely clear on from your brief and can think on his feet. All excellent traits in somebody you’re trusting your work to – especially if it’s urgent. Whilst I’m happy to sing his praises, the selfish part of me realises I may find myself behind a queue of others when next I come to use him.

Still yet to buy me that beer though...

  • Gunna is a fantastic shoot board artist. He is quick and the results always impress.

Part of dealing with Gunna also involves cajoling and working through the process of prising him out of his cave / studio to come and take the brief. In fact he has never come to us, not once. Although I nearly had him coming over on our most recent brief but Bruce ended up briefing him on the phone. Damn it. I nearly won.

  • If the emotion of an idea is more important than a superficial 'look' you can't go past Gunna. Talk to him nicely and he'll even let you ruin his weekend.

    Warren Brown

    Executive Creative Director, BMF
  • If you want someone to add life to a page of words Gunna’s your man. He knows every trick in the storyboard artist’s book, including speed lines; impressive looking arrows that make you think something technical will happen in post and cats walking away from the camera. He does have a weakness for making just about every woman he draws look like Kim Kardashian on steroids so check all blouse areas. Unless it’s a beer commercial.
